The 78 Billion Dollar scam by the chairman of Satyam Computers had shocked the IT industries in India. Satyam Computers Chairman Ramalinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju and five other accused are currently enjoying their life in jail. Following this, Indian government made an open auction for Satyam Computers; and Tech Mahindra bought the largest share of 51%. So Tech Mahindra will now take control of Satyam and they changed the name as “Mahindra Satyam”.

British Airways Suffers Big Loss

British Airways in one of the leading International airlines; in the last financial year they suffered a huge loss of $636 million which never occurred before. British Airways asks its 40,000 employees to work without salary for 4 weeks. This is by far the biggest crisis the industry has ever faced. Also they are losing customers to cheaper rivals.

Vijender as new Pepsi Ambassador

Usually in Indian market, the cricketers and movie stars will be chosen as ambassadors for various products, and especially for food stuffs and beverages. But for the first time in India, a Boxer has been chosen as an Ambassador. Vijender, a boxer who had won bronze medal in Olympics has joined Pepsi's ambassadorial team. 10,000 employees will lose jobs

Satyam Computer has been taken over by Tech Mahindra by purchasing 51% of Satyam Computers share. Tech Mahindra sent shock waves to Satyam employees by announcing that 10,000 of Satyam employees will lose their job. Sources said that that the layoffs are likely to start from Hyderabad, which has the largest number of employees.
